Serena Corongiu is a seasoned lawyer (admitted to plea also before the Supreme Court) and a Specialist in International Law (awarded by Consiglio Nazionale Forense). She graduated cum laude in 2000 from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, with a EU law paper.
In 2006 she earned a PhD in General and comparative procedural theory from the University of Urbino, discussing a PhD paper in English language. Former Professor of Transnational Litigation at the Postgraduate School of Specialization for legal professions of the University of Verona and Trento from 2006 to 2023, she teaches courses in international trade law for business associations and is the author of numerous publications, as well as a speaker at Italian and foreign conventions. She is a member of the International Law Commission of the Vicenza Bar Association and Co-Head for Veneto of the Italian Chamber of Internationalist Lawyers. A member of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, she is very sensitive to the issue of women’s empowerment and gender equality. She deals mainly with the contentious and non-contentious aspects of international commercial transaction law. She has experience as an arbitrator, as well as a counsel in international arbitration cases. In recent times, she has dedicated herself particularly to the study of Benefit Corporations and B-Corps and legal design, holding seminars on the subject and publishing in-depth studies in the main legal journals and reviews.
